Tile roof and ridge details

Care in the details

A wide view of the roof, then a closer look at the ridge. These Ellis work photos show the tile layout, ridge caps and areas beside solar panels.

If a tile roof starts leaking, the tiles, ridge caps, junctions and drainage may all be relevant to the inspection. A tidy-looking surface helps you see the finish; the cause of a leak still needs to be checked.

Tell us where you see water, whether it follows heavy rain or wind, and what repairs have already been tried. If the roof has solar panels, mention them so access and the work area can be discussed before a visit.
